Elementary Waste Reduction Workshops

EcoSource Elementary Waste Reduction Workshops engage students in contemporary waste issues. Each workshop fosters critical thinking through hands-on learning, encouraging students to think beyond the 3R’s and explore waste as a system with multiple social and environmental perspectives.

The workshops are offered to individual classes (kindergarten to grade 8), include curriculum connections, and are designed specifically to engage students’ interests and relate directly to their local experience. The program is led by qualified and knowledgeable EcoSource educators and is aimed to inspire needed change in waste reduction practices and study in each classroom by creating awareness amongst students, teachers, and administrators.
