Professional Development Opportunity for Teachers interested in Whole School Approaches to Educating for Sustainable Development

 

EcoSource – in partnership with York University’s Faculty of Education is offering a professional development, university recognized Certificate course in Whole School Approaches to Educating for Sustainable Development. This course is designed to assist teachers to develop their schools by promoting whole school approaches through sustainability. This course is also a component of the York Environmental Science 1 AQ offered this year July 5th-22nd.

 

Course Units include:

 

• Whole school approaches

• Understanding and awareness of sustainable development and the role that education plays

• Why bother with sustainability education

• Leading and managing change

• New policies and practices in Ontario.

 

This program is also credited with 21 hours towards an AQ in Environmental Science 1 through York University
