Special thanks to our generous financial supporters! The Region of Peel is a generous supporter of EcoSource and our youth focussed waste reduction educational programs, including our InSchool Workshops and the EcoSource Green Schools programs. The Region of Peel includes the town of Caledon, the City of Brampton and the City of Mississauga.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation, an agency of the Ministry of Culture, receives annually $100 million of government funding generated through Ontario's charity casino initiative.
The Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation was created to help foster our Greenbelt’s living countryside by nurturing and supporting activities that preserve its environmental and agricultural integrity. The Greenbelt forms a green ring around the cities and subdivisions of the Horseshoe, extends up through the Oak Ridges Moraine to Lake Simcoe and Lake Scugog and eastward, and also includes the Niagara Escarpment along the Bruce Trail to Tobermory. EcoSource is proud that the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation is the key supporter of our Youth and Local Food Program, now in its third successful year! This program is now a joint partnership between EcoSource and the Peel District School Board, and is the first of its kind and scope in Canada.
TD Friends of the Environment Foundation TDFEF has been a generous supporter of a variety of EcoSource projects, including our very popular EcoSource Youth Environmental Action Booklets! Novo Nordisk Novo Nordisk took a great action to reduce waste by ending their use of disposable plastic water bottles and installing a water dispensing system in their head office in Mississauga. Their employees were kind enough to vote to donate the monies saved to EcoSource to support our environmental education programs! Thank you to the employees of Novo Nordisk for your support and your actions to reduce waste in our community! Many thanks as well to our partners and supporters who have assisted with supplies and in-kind donations! The City of Mississauga partners with EcoSource in Earth Day celebrations each year and we also work with the City to promote many of its environmental initiatives including the successful Anti-Idling Program. Many thanks as well to the City of Mississauga for supplying our Green School plantings with an endless supply of mulch, logs for seating and fencing supplies. Your support is greatly appreciated!
