Youth and Local Food farm field trips are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students to explore farms in Ontario's Greenbelt. Hands-on, participatory and interactive, these field trips take the local food message one step farther. Students learn about sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, the Greenbelt, and the daily workings of a farm business. 

The Youth and Local Food Program works closely with schools to ensure a safe, fun and educational experience. This includes booking transportation, a range of activities to suit grade levels and curriculum needs, and dates and times that work within the school calender.

Because of the limited amount of farm field trips, we offer the trips to schools who are strong participants and supporters of many YLF local food programming options.
