The winning student-made menu items from the Cooking Up Action! Culinary Challenge were launched at Glenforest Secondary School on November 23, 2011. Student winners interviewed were tasked with developing recipes showcasing Ontario grown and raised food that comply with the new Schools Food and Beverage policy. The winning recipe of a delectable Ontario butternut squash soup and a delicious entree of local cauliflower mash and herbed Ontario chicken is now carried by Chartwells in Peel District School Board schools!
