Environmental Youth Adult Partnerships
A Provincial Project

The Environmental Youth-Adult Partnerships (EYAP) Project is supported by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, and stems from the experiences of the EcoSource Peel Environmental Youth Alliance (PEYA) Program. The EYAP project brings together individuals and organizations that participate in environmentally-focused youth-adult partnerships to share ideas, good practices, tools and resources. The EYAP project endeavours to strengthen intergenerational learning and action within the environmental movement in Ontario.

Good practices on YAPs was shared through an Ontario-wide symposium, the EYAP Guide - a written manual to guide you in the development of your own YAPs and workshop delivered in various Ontario communities.

PEYA and EcoSource operate under the following broad definition of youth-adult partnerships:
"Youth and adults teach one another, learn from one another and act together. Decision making is shared."
