Green School Alumni

The Green Schools Alumni Network was established to provide further support to schools that have participated in our Green Schools Program in the past.

The feedback that we have recieved on the Green Schools Program is that it is a great experience, but one year of programming is just not enough.  The Alumni Network is an opportunity for schools to continue building a relationship with EcoSource, partnering together on campaigns, actions and and sharing information.

Being part of the Alumni Network ensures that teachers recieve our Green Schools Alumni Newsletters, emailed updates on environmental news and issues in the Region of Peel, and gives Alumni schools the opportunity to apply to EcoSource with a schools specific project that EcoSource could provide assistance on.  These projects can be intensive, or quick - require funding or not.  In the past we have assisted schools on anti-idling campaigns, saving aquatic ecosystems and provided new composting systems.  EcoSource supports up to 4 Alumni projects or campaigns each year.

If you are an Green Schools Alumni teacher and your school is interested in embarking on a new project or need support on exsisting programs, contact the Green Schools Cooridinators and ask for an Alumni Project Application form.  Together we can spread a little green!
